Despite the lack of casinos, the Löderup area has a great deal to offer its visitors. If you tire of walks in nature reserves, looking at historical monuments or lying on beautiful white sandy beaches or watching hares eating the farmers’ carrots or enjoying an incredible sunset over land and sea you may like to choose some of the following activities:

Eating: there are restaurants for every taste and pocket, pizza or gourmet, in Löderups Strandbad, Kåseberga, Ingelstorp or Löderup village you will certainly be able to find something to please the palate. Its not unusual in this area to find a café or a bakery in the middle of a field often combined with a gallery or design boutique, so keep a watch out!

Sleeping: There are a number of hotels, bed & breakfasts and hostels in the area. You may wish to hire you own cottage or holiday unit. There is an official camping ground right on the beach at Löderups Strandbad if you are tenting or caravanning (camping in the nature reserves is not allowed). There are also facilities for small or large conferences in the area.

Culture, Arts and Crafts: this region  has a large population of artists, sculptors, potters, craftsmen, designers and others who work in the sphere of culture - many of them living in and around Löderup. There are several galleries and exhibitions open most of the year and at Easter each year there is a regional  arts festival,  the Österlen Art Circuit (or “Konstrundan”) when many artists’ studios are open to the public and you can talk to the artists themselves about their work.

Sports: Horse riding, hang-gliding, swimming, volley-ball, tennis, boule, mini-golf, cycling and sea-fishing are some of the activities available in the area.

Relaxing: if your purpose in coming here is to relax maybe you’d like to sample a Spa, catch some QiGong, find a little FengShui or experience Energy psychology?

Shopping: You can shop for food, flowers and second hand bargains in Löderup village; if  its souvenirs you need then perhaps Kåseberga has what you need but again, you can find quaint shops out in the countryside too and they are well worth a visit.

Outside of the Löderup area: If  you should by any chance feel the need to go further than Löderup, then the nearby towns of Ystad, 20 km to the west and Simrishamn 25 km to the north-east offer museums, shopping, banks, cinemas, theatres, night clubs and most public services. And a  walk around the old town centre of Ystad is a must! And there are three top-class golf courses within half an hour’s drive of Löderup and several more  less than an hour away.
